Athletic Team Training
I have partnered with HIGHLIGHT-HER to help young female athletes reach their highest potential, increase their athleticism, and reduce their risk for injury. HIGHLIGHT-HER's mission is to empower aspiring collegiate athletes to achieve their athletic and academic goals. Their centralized sports recruitment platform simplifies and accelerates the athlete-coach connection. Read on to learn how it works!
STEP 1: Pre-test the athlete's performance in three different areas: the vertical jump, a 10 yard dash, and a pro-agility test. The results will provide the athlete with an Athletic Standard Index (ASI) score. The athlete's ASI score will be compared to athletes who compete at the Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA, and NJCAA levels across the country in their particular sport.
STEP 2: Use the athlete's ASI score to develop a sport-specific training program designed to increase power, explosiveness, and strength and reduce the risk for non-contact injuries. We will train 2-3 times per week for 8-12 weeks depending on the athlete's schedule.
STEP 3: Post-test the athlete in the vertical jump, 10 yard dash, and pro-agility to see the improvement in the ASI score. A higher ASI score means that an athlete is less likely to have a non-contact injury and more likely to see additional playing time and catch the eye of collegiate coaches.
